D day has arrived. After weeks of launching teasers and small advances of the new model, as well as videos and images with information about all previous generations, during this morning the eighth generation of the Porsche 911 , which is already known with the 992 name (the former is called 991). They have taken advantage of the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show to do so.
The German company has decided that the release of this new model will be made with what are likely to be the more balanced versions of the whole "nueveonce" range. We are talking about the Porsche 911 Carrera S , in its rear-drive version, and Porsche 911 Carrera 4S , with all-wheel drive. Let's see all the news of this 992 generation.
A totally renewed back
As expected, the new Porsche 911 992 is not a change radical in its aesthetics; In fact, the 911 has never changed much from one generation to another, but in this case it will be very easy to differentiate it. In the frontal the changes are slight, with some new brush strokes that make up and rejuvenate the front image of the predecessor model. The bumper has some new lines, the optics Matrix LED also vary slightly, but everything is still in place.
The exterior dimensions of the Porsche 911 992 are 4,519 mm in length, 1,852 in width and 1,300 mm high, with a battle of 2,450 mm. The capacity of the front trunk is 132 liters.
